Counsellor's Bio
With over 20 years of experience in the counselling field, I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology as well as a Master of Counselling and a Master of Sociology and PHD. In addition to my counselling practice, I serve as a lecturer at a higher education institution, where I share my knowledge and passion for the field with aspiring counsellors.
I am a proud member of the Australian Counselling Association, committed to upholding the highest
professional and ethical standards.
I am a Christian, and my faith guides my commitment to compassion, integrity, and honoring the inherent worth of every individual. While my beliefs shape who I am, I welcome and support people of all cultures, backgrounds, and religions without prejudice or judgment.
Drawing from my diverse experiences, I am dedicated to walking alongside clients in their unique journeys and creating a safe, empathetic, and respectful space for growth and healing.
I am bilingual and offer counselling to both English and Afrikaans speaking individuals.

About the Name
'The Dandelion Way', is a counselling practice rooted in the belief that healing and transformation are always possible. I chose the name because the dandelion, often seen as a humble and resilient plant, symbolizes the very qualities I hope to nurture in those I work with, (resilience, growth,
transformation, and
renewal). Just as the
dandelion thrives in
unexpected places and
adapts to its surroundings,
we too can overcome adversity and emerge stronger. The Dandelion Way represents a path of compassionate support and meaningful change, no matter where you are on your journey.
